The fourfa link explains the emo sound. The list of bands associated with emo? I listen to none. There's only one artist there I used to listen to. Simple Plan. (At this moment I am laughing at some people). Furthermore, there's a band down there I deride a LOT. Which some people seem to love. FoB. HAH.

I listen to progressive rock, hard rock, slow rock, alternative, and experimental. On top of that, I can't say I like the emo sound either. Check it here: http://www.mesaverde.co.uk/mp3/ and you'll probably agree.
